Projectthema: De Romeinen -Project theme: The Roman

De Romeinen hebben me al als jong kind bijzonder geboeid. Playmobil heeft in zijn geschiedenis tot noch toe slechts één figuurtje uitgebracht dat in dit thema past, namelijk een Centurion, en tot veler hun geluk is er nu vanaf juli dit jaar een tweede speciale uitgave beschikbaar namelijk een Romeinse legioensoldaat. Bij heel wat fans van Playmobil is dit thema een van de Topverwachtingen. We hopen dat in de nabije toekomst de ontwerpers en de leiding van Playmobil werk zullen maken, van een groot uitgewerkt thema rond Romeinen! Ik wil er ondertussen niet werkloos zitten op wachten, daarom begin ik zelf al passende zaken te creëren rond dit thema.
Mijn eerste project dat mijn voorkeur genoot is al klaar. Het bovenaan afgebeelde (Playmobil) schip dat ik voor € 2,00 in een kringloopwinkel aankocht is omgetoverd tot een middelgroot koopvaardijschip uit de tijd van Septimus Severus ca. 193-235 N.C. Enkele fazen van behandeling en het uiteindelijke resultaat zul je in de foto galerij kunnen zien! Foto’s van het schip zijn al aan een wereldreis begonnen via het forum Playmoboard onder de thread “Brubil’s Roman ship”. De hele ombouw heeft zowat 10 werkuren in beslaggenomen binnen een looptijd van 2 weken. Uit de vele commentaren blijkt nog maar eens hoe dit thema aanslaat bij vele playmobil fans. Enkelen hebben te kennen gegeven ook een Romeins schip te zullen bouwen.

The Roman has particularly captivated me already as a young child. Playmobil brought in its history up till now only one special figure what’s concerning the Roman, namely a Centurion, and to many their luck we received in July this year a second special expenditure, this time a Roman legion soldier. At a lot fans from Playmobil is this topic a top expectation. We hope that in the close future the designers and the control of Playmobil will make work, of a large developed Theme around Roman! I do not want to sit here in the meantime waiting for this to happen, for this reason I myself started already with creating matter around such Theme.

My first project is already finished; I started to customize a ship. (From Playmobil) that I was able to find for just 2.00 Euro in a secondhand shop. I transformed it to a commerce ship from the time of Septimus Severus approx... 193-235 A.C. some phase of treatment and the eventual result you shall see in the photograph gallery! Pictures of the ship are already published on the internet site “Playmoboard” under the thread "Brubil's Roman ship”. To complete this ship I needed ten working hours in within duration of two weeks. The many comments make it clear again that many playmo fans love this theme and hope for it to come out. Some told their wish to build a Roman ship too.
